Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

New Hair Do

So I did it, finally. I have been wanting to cut my hair for awhile and when my manager walked in with her cut, I said "that's it I am doing it." So yesterday I had it done. I went to a very cool guy who cuts my sisters' and nieces' hair. His family owns the Haircutter on 7th East & 106th South. So I had him start by putting my hair in a 11 inch pony tail and cut it off. That is being donated to Locks-Of-Love. I have always wanted to do that, so now I am. I dyed it chocolate brown and he put in some carmel highlights. I also got bangs. So the pictures are for you to see. I took them myself, so not so good, but enough so you can get the point. Tabatha could have took them but I didnt want to disturb her play time. I like it a lot. I was just so bored of long straight hair and I needed a change.

New Ward

So yesterday was the first Sunday since our ward broke off and now we are the Foxboro 5th ward. We changed times to 1:00 PM, our classes are first and sacrament is last and also the ward house is pretty far from us now. We go to a building in Woodscross, probably 3-4 miles away. Its nice that our ward is smaller now, I may be able to make some friends. Also I like having time to get up and eat and not have to rush to make it to 9:00 AM church. I also like that classes are first. Cody works on Sunday's so I go to church by myself. Our old ward we had sacrament first and I wouldnt go because it was just too hard. I now can at least go take the sacrament and if I have to leave I can. Yesterday we stayed for sacrament, with some help from a lady in my ward. Both kids had major melt downs. This may take awhile to get them trained and that lady may be sitting with us every week. This is a hard time because the twins will have no nap on Sunday's. Yesterday night was tough with two grumpy babies. We will be gone for the next three weeks of church because of our vacation, hooray!

Footprints in the Sand

So I am sitting at work this morning, yes I needed to work on a Sunday, and I heard this song. It is by Leona Lewis. It is called "Footprints in the Sand." It is so what I needed today, just pondering things. It is so amazing how somedays you just need something and low and behold you get it the way that you understand it. Music means a lot to me in my life, so lyrics are so powerful to me. Here are the lyrics for your viewing pleasure.
You walked with me
Footprints in the sand
And helped me understand
Where I'm going
You walked with me
When I was all alone
With so much unknown
Along the way then I heard you say
I promise you I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow And despair
And I'll carry you
When you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand
I see my life flash across the sky
So many times have I been so afraid
ohh yeahh and just when I thought I lost my way
You give me strength to carry on
That's when I heard you say
I promise you I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
And I'll carry you
When you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand
When I'm weary
Well I know you be there
And I can feel you when you say
I promise you I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sadness and despair
ohh, I'll carry you
When you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

I am going to add this to my playlist, so you can listen to it, if you would like. I get to go home soon and get ready for church, YEAH!

Legacy Parkway

First off why do we call something we drive on a parkway and something we park on a driveway? Just a thought. Anyway, Legacy Parkway opened on Saturday at 5 pm. In the morning they had a run/bike the parkway at 8am. I had forgotten about this until I heard the helicopters Saturday morning. At 5 pm I could tell they had opened it to the public. You will know why with the pictures below. This is me standing at my back door. This is the view from my deck. This kind of worries me when it comes time to move. Although it is not too bad, the noise and all, I don't think it will attract buyers. We are going to need to do some major upgrades to make up for the parkway. Although we wont be moving for probably three to five years, I am hoping the market perks up. I keep telling Cody, if we are suppose to have another child the Lord will provide and find us a way to afford a larger house. It's either that or I will become a very humble person, with six people living in a three bedroom house. Knowing a little bit about my Savior I think he is going to pick the second of the two I mentioned above. Until that time I will enjoy watching all the cars drive by. If you drive by you can honk and I will wave.

Little Cody

I haven't been open to many people with what I am about to write, but I have been having many thoughts about it lately. Yesterday Bailey put her arms around my tummy and said "its okay baby." I am not pregnant by any means but I believe that children are very close to the veil. I feel I am very close to the veil through my dreams. I had a dream awhile ago that my family and I were shopping. I was trying to leave and everyone kept saying, "hello you have a son, you cannot leave him", "go get your son." In my dream this little boy was about three or four years old and all the rest of my children were the same age as they are now. I have also had two experiences while I am about to fall asleep, I hear little footsteps come up to the side of my bed, I hear a whisper of "mommy," I turn around to look and no one is there. People might think I am crazy, heck I think sometimes I am crazy, but I know there are things trying to tell me something. I am definitely in denial because having three kids is stressful and now I have a fourth. Who decided this? Did I really pick this life? I think we all think that sometimes and I always have to think, it could be worse. I have told many people that I know if I got pregnant again I would have a boy. In fact as the girls grow out of their clothes I give it away. I have gotten rid on all my girl things. I just have thought lately, do I have to have this kid soon? Why do these things keep happening all the time lately? Is it just reminding me there is another and I can take my time or does this have to happen now? When I got pregnant with the twins and I didn't know yet I was having twins, I had a talk with God and told him that if I was suppose to have more than two kids that he'd better package them now. So when I found out I was having twins I thought that was it. On the operating table my doctor asked if I wanted my tubes tied and I couldn't give him a straight answer. So of course that didn't happen. I guess we will see where time takes us. Maybe someday we will have a little Cody.

Very Fair-ish

So every year we go to the Utah State Fair. We went opening day this year because it was only $2 and kids 5 and under are free. So we only had to pay $4 and then $5 for parking. Much cheaper than on the regular days when it is $7 per person. They had this cool Tiger show this year. They had these Bengal Tigers from a tiger preserve and they did tricks. They had four different colors of Bengal's, they were pretty. The kids really liked that too. We walked around and saw all the animals. My children love animals, just like their Mom. We ate some BBQ dinner, at a very expensive price, we all shared one meal. Cody wasn't hungry because he ate on the way. We looked around at all the shops, we didn't buy anything but it is fun to look. Tabatha always rides the ponies and at $4 a pop she was the only one to ride the ponies. In fact I didn't want her to ride at all because it is expensive but she ran ahead of us and just got on without paying. Yes, I guess I stole a pony ride. We might have to pay twice next year. The kids got some balloon animals, that were short lived, but entertaining for awhile. That was about it. Tabatha kept begging to go on rides, but we are trying to save our money for our upcoming vacation, so no rides this year.

Tabatha is in Kindergarten

I cant believe that my first born is now old enough to go to Kindergarten.Today was her first day. She rides the bus, which was a scary thought for me, but we survived today. Her school is too far away for me to drive her everyday, so I am glad they provide a bus.She was so excited to go to school today that she was awake before Cody could wake her. This is a girl that loves her sleep and she is usually not up until 9AM. Today she was awake at 7AM.

The girls were playing ring around the tree waiting for their sister to come home from school.

Yeah! We made it through the first day, how many more days of school are there? Tabatha will love every single one of them. She has always loved school. When she was in preschool she would always ask "When will I get to go to a big school?"
